Pet Safe Program

C.A.O.S. strives to help pet owners who have fallen on hard times. The Pet Safe program is designed to help families who have been displaced from their homes. We provide temporary housing for pets while families find a safe place to live. Certain criteria must be meet to be approved into the program. Because this program is funded solely by the generosity of our community and through animal foster homes, we have limited spots available.

Ways You Can Help

In order for this program to exist, we need donations to offset the cost of boarding, food, grooming, transportation, and veterinary treatment. Pet Safe also relies on foster homes to temporarily house the pets of our program recipients.

If you are interested in becoming a Pet Safe Foster Parent, please email us at info@caosab.ca. If you can’t foster but still want to help, you can donate directly to our Pet Safe Program by clicking here donate page.

Pets of the Homeless

C.A.O.S strives to help people in need during difficult times. The Pets of the Homeless program is designed to help families in need feed their beloved pets. In partnership with the Red Deer Food Bank, we provide dog and cat food to less fortunate people who have a difficult time feeding their pets.

If you need this service you can pick up dog or cat food at the Red Deer Food Bank or at Companion Animal Outreach Services.

Ways You Can Help

You can drop off opened, expired, or brand new bags of dog and cat food or any pet supplies to Companion Animal Outreach Services located at 4640 61 Street Red Deer, AB or at our Adoption Centre inside the Red Deer Petland.

Surrendering Your Pet

C.A.O.S is here to help people when they have to make the difficult decision to rehome their beloved pet due to unforeseen circumstances. C.O.A.S can help your pet only when space is available and when your pet meets certain criteria. Note: There may be surrender fees when you relinquish your pet.

If you need this service you must email us to book an appointment with a member of our rescue team.

Ways You Can Help

Given the age and medical history of relinquished pets, taking in surrendered animals can be financially difficult for C.A.O.S. By donating to this cause, you can help us help animals that no longer have a place to live.
