We are committed to finding the best possible homes for the animals in our care, ensuring that they are matched with families who will provide the love, care, and commitment they need and deserve. We believe that adoption is a lifelong commitment and a mutually rewarding experience for both the animal and the adopter.
Our core belief drives us to go above and beyond in our adoption process. We spend the time with potential adopters to ensure that they are able provide a suitable environment for the specific animal’s physical and emotional well-being. We prioritize education and support, providing adopters with the necessary resources and guidance to help them build strong and lasting bonds with their new companions.

Collabration
We are incredibly proud to share that Companion Animal Outreach Services has been a dedicated partner of Petland Canada for the past 10 years. This partnership has been instrumental in our efforts to make a greater impact in finding homes for animals in need. Together, we have built a strong network of compassionate individuals and organizations who share our belief in the value and welfare of animals.
Our main shelter, located inside the Red Deer Petland, stands as a testament to this collaboration. Petland Canada generously donated the space for our shelter, allowing us to create a safe haven for animals in transition.
In addition to our main shelter, we have expanded our presence to 13 other Petland locations across Alberta. These Petland stores graciously provide us with space to house cats available for adoption. Through these partnerships, we have been able to reach a wider audience, raising awareness about the importance of adopting animals and finding them loving homes.
