“To provide a safe and loving atmosphere for rescued and lost animals by providing them with the utmost care with proper nutrition, access to veterinary care, spaying, neutering, vaccinations, deworming, rehabilitation and adoption.”
Adopt A Pet
Companion Animal Outreach Services has many cats, dogs, and sometimes rabbits available for adoption. Please drop by one of our Adoption Centres located in Red Deer’s Petland and Calgary's Sunridge Petland to meet the animals. All animals are vet checked, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and behavioral assessed prior to adoption. We also have six cat satellite Adoption Centres located in Edmonton, Airdrie and Calgary.
Abandoned, Surrendered, Strayed or Rescued
Each year 1000s of animals end up in animal shelters in Central Alberta.
Many of these animals are at risk to become victims of euthanasia due to
overcrowding, lack of funding, or disease. Your help is needed to give these
animals a second chance at love, happiness, and life.

Microchip Your Pet
“Only 3 out of 10 lost pets are reunited with their rightful owners. By microchipping your pet, your pet’s chances of returning home safe improve to 90%. Companion Animal Outreach Services provides microchipping clinics. Get the ID your pet needs. Because if we find your pet, it will be returned home before dinner.”

$75 Saves a Life
A $75 donation can save the life of a defenseless animal. Your donation goes directly to the cost of a vet check, vaccines against life threatening viruses, food, and animal comfort items while the animal is in the shelter. We depend on donations to help keep our shelters open. If you can donate any amount, the animals in our care will greatly benefit and you will feel great knowing that you helped save an animal’s life.
When you adopt an animal, you save two lives: the life of the animal you adopt and the one awaiting a spot in our shelter’s care. The animals up for adoption are not here by choice. They have either been abandoned, surrendered, found or rescued from dangerous conditions. Each animal has a story, but they all have one thing in common: they need a home where they can live happily for the rest of their lives. If you want to adopt an animal, you have come to the right place. All pets come spay/neutered, vet checked, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and much more.
